About Bat Rescue South Australia

Bat Rescue South Australia is a Wildlife Rescue Organisation that focuses on the protection of bats, particularly the Grey Headed Flying-Foxes and microbats. Our goal is to rescue, rehabilitate and release wherever possible, microbats and flying-foxes. We also aim to educate the public on the vital role bats play in the environment and to protect vulnerable bat species.

What do I do if I find an injured bat?

If you come across a sick, injured or orphaned flying-fox or microbat
call our 24/7 help line on 0475 132 093
DO NOT TOUCH the bat.


We will send out an experienced, vaccinated rescuer.

Any bat found on it’s own in the daytime is in trouble and needs help, please call us for assistance
